The holiday season is here, and there’s no better time to come together and give back to our community. At Pittsburgh Professional Women, we’re excited to host our annual Holiday Party this Tuesday evening, and we’d love to see you there! But even if you can’t join us in person, you can still make a meaningful impact.
This year, we’re supporting Hello Neighbor, a remarkable nonprofit dedicated to helping refugee families resettle and thrive in Western Pennsylvania. Since 2021, Hello Neighbor has helped 752 refugees start new lives, providing the safety, resources, and community they deserve.
However, the work is far from over. With ongoing global challenges, the need for support continues to grow. That’s where we come in—together, we can make a difference for families building a new future here.
How You Can Help
Whether you’re attending the Holiday Party or participating from afar, there are several ways to get involved:
1️⃣ Donate Online Your contributions go directly to helping families with essential needs like housing, food, and education. Since this is GIVING TUESDAY week, your donation will be matched up to $25,000. Donate here.
2️⃣ Purchase from the Hello Neighbor Wish List Make a direct impact by purchasing much-needed items for refugee families. Shop their Amazon Wish List and Walmart Wish List any time of year.
3️⃣ Volunteer Your Time Hello Neighbor offers opportunities to connect with families and provide mentorship, friendship, or practical support. Learn more about volunteering here.
4️⃣ Spread the Word Not everyone knows about the incredible work Hello Neighbor is doing. Share their mission with your network, and invite others to support this important cause.
